Prince Harry has released a video just hours before his father King Charles' appearance in his first State Opening of Parliament as monarch.
The Duke of Sussex appeared in a monologue for the Stand up for Heroes comedy night in New York yesterday evening, in a humorous clip that is jam packed with jokes about his redhead appearance and living under the spotlight.
In the video, the 39-year-old prince wears four military medals and a poppy as he speaks from his Montecito mansion in the US.
One medal is an Afghanistan campaign medal from his time in the Army, while the other three were given to him by his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
They include a 2022 Queen's Golden Jubilee medal, a 2012 Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal and a 2022 Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal, the Express reports.
The former royal filmed the clip from the garden of his California home and poked fun at himself a few times on camera.
He joked about people with ginger hair like himself being an "endangered species" and also made a quip about how living in California with his family means his life is no longer scrutinised.
Opening his monologue, Harry said: "Hello New York. Obviously I was deeply honoured when Bob asked me to debut my stand-up act with you all tonight."
Stand Up for Heroes is an annual charity event which raises funds to support members of the armed forces with last night's show being hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr.
Viewers also saw performances from comedian Tracy Morgan and actor Tom Hanks.
The duke's speech was full of punch lines, and saw him say: "Due to the shockingly low representation of gingers last year, and out of respect for my fellow endangered species, here I am, reporting for duty."
He added: "As someone who never gets scrutinised, I haven't even had to prepare much.
"But out of an abundance of caution, I have been working on this particular act for quite some time and everyone I know tells me it's perfect.
"And no, these aren't people who just tell me what I want to hear, these are people like my finance manager, my lawyer, and of course, my reiki healer."
Harry went on to deliver a more serious message towards the end of his speech as he highlighted the importance of service and the long lasting impact it has on you.
