The event was to celebrate the launch of Katie’s new wellness haircare brand, which Meghan has invested in. Meghan was quoted by InStyle saying, “Katie is a master of hair health, and her Highbrow Hippie collection is the perfect reflection of that.” Katie Lee, based in Venice, LA, has worked with numerous A-list clients, including Brad Pitt, Sigourney Weaver, and Julia Roberts.

Lady C Takes to Twitter: Enter Lady C, who took to Twitter to slam Meghan for what she calls a “fake” friendship with her hairdresser. Lady C tweeted, “Oh my goodness, Meghan Markle just keeps sinking deeper. Her people—who suspiciously sound a lot like her—are digging deeper into the bottom of the barrel, trying to make news by announcing that she has a new best friend: her hairdresser.” Lady C doesn’t hold back, adding, “How long until this hairdresser gets ‘Markled’—T-minus two minutes.”

She goes on to criticize Meghan for using people like Katie Lee to keep up appearances. Lady C insists that Meghan’s “best friends” are now just people she pays for services, highlighting that no one in Meghan’s peer group genuinely wants to be close to her. “A celebrity,” Lady C writes, “who is a mere publicity-hungry figurehead. She’s resorted to paying someone to be her ‘best friend.’”
