Grammy Award-winner Temilade Openiyi professionally known as Tems during a recent interview disclosed that Nigerians do not understand and appreciate her music.
Tems. the “Try Me” hitmaker made this known to all and sundry while featuring as a guest in an interview with popular YouTuber Korty.
This is coming after Tems addressed her views on relationships and the intentions of some men as she averred that a lot of guys have no agenda but to penetrate.
During the interview, Korty asked Tems; “Do you feel like Nigerians understand / appreciate your music?”
Responding Tems said that Nigerians do not understand her music but she doesn’t know if they appreciate her music. She added that she feels appreciated by Nigerians as a person and she has got somewhere with that.
In her words; “Nigerians don’t understand my music, I don’t know if they appreciate my music but I feel appreciated as a person by Nigerians and got somewhere with it.”
Tems has an upcoming studio album titled “Born in the Wild,” and will be released on June 7, 2024, The album has 18 tracks and she featured only Asake and J.Cole.
