According to a royal expert, Meghan Markle's decision to decline a visit to the UK may lead to accusations of selfishness and could potentially strain Prince Harry's relationship with his family.

During Prince Harry's upcoming visit to London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at St Paul's Cathedral, his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, will not be accompanying him. The specific reason for Meghan's absence has not been disclosed, but royal experts speculate that she may fear facing a barrage of abusive comments if she returns to the UK.

Meghan's last visit to the UK was in September 2022, and she has not made any subsequent trips in the past year or the current year. Royal expert and author Tom Quinn suggests that Meghan's decision not to travel to England may indicate that she is harboring grudges against the Royal Family, and this could lead people to label her as "selfish."

Quinn explains, "Meghan will undoubtedly face accusations of selfishness for not coming to see King Charles and Kate. We all know what it's like to have disagreements within families, but few of us take those conflicts to the extreme as Meghan has done. People are beginning to question why Meghan can't simply mature and accept that families have falling outs, and that holding grudges is both selfish and immature."

Quinn's comments come in response to ITV News' royal correspondent Chris Ship, who recalled an incident where Harry and Meghan were booed by royalists at St Paul's Cathedral during a service for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Ship suggests that Meghan would likely want to avoid a similar experience, stating, "The difficulty is, you remember the last time they went to St Paul's Cathedral, which was for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, they got booed."
