Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be split by a "Berlin Wall" as the pair implement a "secret work divorce", according to a royal expert.
Last year, unsubstantiated rumours suggested some form of separation had occurred between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Although their marriage is still together, royal expert Daniela Elser reckons the pair are going in different directions professionally. Writing for news.com.au, she pointed to Meghan's new podcast deal with Lemonada Media, announced last week, as evidence of this - Harry had been part of the previous deal with Spotify, but isn't involved this time.
And while that news spread across the world, Harry was giving an interview to Good Morning America - again, without his wife.
Last night (Thursday, February 22) Meghan was all smiles as she was photographed heading out for a sushi dinner with a friend at Asanebo Restaurant in Los Angeles. But Harry was nowhere to be seen, nor was he when Meghan was spotted eating lunch earlier in the day.
Elser wrote: "At some point in the last year, the couple seems to have built a sort of professional Berlin Wall down the middle of their working lives."
Elser said this stands in stark contrast to March 2020 when the couple "decided to go the full Stars and Stripes". She said: "They were signing so many deals together such that I’m pretty sure they invested in matching ceremonial Mont Blancs."
However, Elser reckons now "the ground has clearly shifted". She explained: "The start of 2023 saw Harry release his super-sized serve of feelings, Spare and undertake the attendant publicity onslaught solo, but hey. It was his tale, his truth, his journey. Meghan going AWOL from his side seemed like a temporary recalibration.
"But then came … the diverging. The last nine months have seen Harry and Meghan drift off on different work paths, with the duchess joining the books of the biggest of Hollywood whales." She dubbed the move a "secret work divorce".
