An American woman accused of killing two of her children has been arrested in the UK.
Kimberlee Singler is accused of murder, attempted murder, child abuse and assault following an incident at a home in Palomino Ranch Point, Colorado on December 19.
Police were responding to a 911 call about a burglary, but when they arrived they found a nine-year-old girl and a boy, 7, dead at the scene. They’ve since determined the initial burglary report was ‘unfounded’.
Singler and her 11-year-old daughter were taken to hospital, but the 35-year-old mum disappeared and she had last been seen on December 23.
She was named in an arrest warrant on Saturday, and on New Year’s Day she was taken into custody ‘without incident’ in the UK, Colorado Springs police told NBC News.
In a statement, the force added: ‘Detectives with the Colorado Springs Police Department’s homicide unit continue to work closely with multiple law enforcement agencies in pursuing the ongoing investigation.’
Singler and her estranged husband had been involved in a years-long divorce case.
