Meghan Markle needs to let herself be 'roasted' to 'improve' her image

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry must "poke fun at themselves" if they intend to change their public image this year, a PR expert said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex should "allow themselves to get roasted" in order to change public perception in 2024, Ryan McCormick, who is a public relations guru, stressed.

Since stepping down from royal duties back in 2020, the duo have had a tense relationship with the Royal Family. In the four years since, the couple have continued their passion to shine a light on issues close to them - and experienced heartache.

But Mr McCormick said the duo are now "tired of getting the cold shoulder" from the Royal Family. He added: "If Harry and Meghan can get comfortable in poking fun at themselves and even allow themselves to be roasted, it could vastly improve their public image. In reality, the duo is likely tired of getting the cold shoulder from the royals and are trying to save face."

The expert said the public opinion of Harry and Meghan may change further if the couple, who spent Christmas in California rather than with Harry's family in the UK, visited several destitute countries and did hands-on work to help those in need.

Harry and Meghan will not be attending the Duke of Westminster’s wedding later this year, it is reported. Hugh Grosvenor, who is the seventh Duke of Westminster, is set to tie the knot with Olivia Henson in June. There has been no official reaction by the Royal Family to the couple's decision not to join them at Christmas, however King Charles III did not mention either Harry or Meghan in his Christmas address, broadcast as usual on December 25.

Harry and Meghan still have their Sussexes titles, though royal author Angela Levin believes this might change in the near future. She previously claimed Meghan, in particular, is clinging to her royal title "for dear life".
