Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's big dreams might be crumbling as their massive Netflix deal is set to end in a few months.

The couple, who were once celebrated for their six-part documentary on the streaming platform, are now facing criticism in Hollywood and could lose everything they've worked so hard for.

In 2022, their documentary was the most-watched factual series on Netflix. But now, they're under fire and could lose it all, according to royal experts. It must feel like a lifetime ago when they were named among Time's top 100 most influential people of 2021.

At the recent Golden Globes, comedian Jo Koy made fun of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying they were "being paid millions by Netflix for doing nothing."

This came after Netflix told them they needed to create more interesting content if they wanted to receive the remaining £40million of their contract.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams warned that things aren't looking good for the Sussexes and explained they need to come up with some fresh ideas before their contract with Archewell and Netflix ends.

Speaking to The Sun about Harry and Meghan's docu-series, Richard said: "If you simply trash your family, which is the only time it does seem to mean that you get megabucks, and do nothing else, then you must expect people not to take you seriously."

He noted their Netflix contract will end in 2025, and if they don't start producing impactful content soon, they could be in trouble. "If they lost that, they really would be losers in every sense," he added.

Reflecting on Harry and Meghan's past projects, Richard questioned whether they have the ability to create anything of real value.

Despite the buzz around their documentary, it didn't make it into Netflix's top 200 shows from January to June. Harry's series Heart of Invictus and Meghan's animated series Pearl both flopped.

To add to their woes, last year, the couple ended their £18million contract with Spotify.
