Prince Harry is using his charities to "boost his own personal image and reputation", according to a PR expert.

The Duke of Sussex has long been known for his charitable endeavors. In 2006, Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho jointly co-founded Sentebale, and in 2014 he founded the Invictus Games. He is also known for his involvement in campaigning mental health, the Diana Award and the Well Child Awards.

But since moving to America with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020, the Duke has appeared to turn his attention to other matters. In 2021 he and his wife sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all chat, then last year they released a six-part docuseries, and earlier this year he penned and released a bombshell memoir.

And now Laura Perkes, a renowned PR Strategist and Mentor at PR with Perkes has said that she feels as though the Duke is "using" his platforms to "boost" his own personal image, which she feels is sad.

"Harry has done some amazing things with the Invictus Games and for publicly opening up about mental health," she exclusively told The Mirror, adding: "but sadly it now feels as though he's using these platforms to boost his own personal image and reputation, which is sad."

She noted how he has "done so much", and had opportunities "to do so much more", but added that now "most people now are wary of working with the couple because of their behaviour and the choices that they've made".

And in another exclusive, Laura said that she believes both Harry and Meghan have "built a reputation they'll never be able to run from". Explaining that a lot of what the couple does "seems to be calculated", with this "giving the illusion that they're living by their organisation's tagline: leading the way with compassion".

Prince Harry flew out to Dusseldorf back in September for the 2023 Invictus Games, with his wife Meghan then flying out to join him at the event. He is still very much involved with other charities too, with him even in attendance at the Well Child Awards in London back in September.

Earlier this year in June, Harry and his older brother Prince William put their differences aside when they came together to participate separately in the virtual Diana Award ceremony.

And just last month Harry and his wife marked World Mental Health Day by speaking to a panel of parents at a summit in New York City.
