A former medical examiner has claimed Matthew Perry’s death will be explained by an ‘unknown drug’.
Perry, who was found unresponsive in a hot tub, was laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park cemetery on November 3.
A cause of death has not yet been officially determined by the LA County Coroner; however, it is not being treated as suspicious.
Full toxicology results will take another few weeks to return, but an initial investigation found he did not have fentanyl or methamphetamines in his system when he died.
However, this week OK! reports that former chief medical examiner Dr Michael Baden insists Perry’s death will be due to ‘some unknown drug’.

Dr Baden told Fox News Digital: ‘They’ve got pretty much 99% of what they’re going to get at this point as far as information goes, and they can release it now, or they can wait for a couple more weeks because they’re looking for some unknown drug.’
He added: ‘They might be doing microscopic slides, but it’s now about almost two weeks, so the toxicology should be finished.’

Perry’s death certificate, obtained earlier this month by E! News, listed the informant as Perry’s stepfather, Dateline journalist Keith Morrison.
The document also confirmed the authorities noted his time of death as 4:17 p.m. PST at his residence in the Pacific Palisades outside of Los Angeles.
In the death certificate, authorities said there were no other significant conditions contributing to his death.

The death certificate also revealed where Perry was buried during his funeral.
Although emergency responders walked into a ‘water rescue situation’ and Perry was found dead on the scene, details are still being evaluated and investigated by authorities.
Since his death, Perry’s fans and co-stars alike have expressed their sorrow through touching tributes.
