Julia Fox got a nose job in her senior year of high school – and it’s not an experience the 33-year-old will forget in a hurry.
That’s because the model – famed for her incredible, double-take outfits – was awake for the bone-crushing procedure after her anaesthetic stopped working. Grim.
The star heard the doctors breaking her nose, as she lay there awake but ‘paralysed’ and unable to alert the doctors of her consciousness.
Chatting to comedian Hannah Berner, the icon explained how she was on the lash until 6am that morning, and the alcohol dulled the anaesthetic.
‘I had a nose job in my senior year of high school,’ she began when asked about the craziest procedure she’s ever had done.
‘But that’s not really crazy,’ the mum-of-one added, to which the comedian pointed out it was a pretty bold move for a teenager.
‘I went out the day before got home at like 6am, my appointment was at 9, I got there at 10,’ explained Julia, smiling at the memory in hindsight, later admitting it was actually awful.
‘I had so much alcohol in my blood that the anaesthetic wasn’t working so I woke up mid procedure and I could hear them breaking the bones,’ the Uncut Gems star explained.
‘Michael Jackson had just died too and they were talking about him,’ remembered Julia, which must’ve added to the surreal memory, ‘but I was paralysed and trying to tell them I was awake.
‘It was actually really traumatic,’ she concluded, before adding: ‘Totally my fault.’
One Julia fan (they’re not hard to find) commented: ‘Damn that story is nuts!! Ahhh I’m so happy you got to chat with Julia, love her so much.’
‘How is she real? It’s Julia’s world and we’re all just living in it,’ said another.
Back in February, the star revealed she’s also had liposuction and Botox and would probably go back for more.
This comes as Julia published her memoir, Down The Drain, in which she details her wild life from her childhood, to dating Kanye West and her days as a dominatrix.
The star recently joined Madonna on stage for her Celebration Tour in London’s O2 wearing a daring black catsuit made out of strips of material.
Invited on stage by the 65-year-old megastar, the actress helped judge the vogueing section of the show.
She then flashed a mischievous smile as dancers got up close and personal with the model and grinded on her while she sat in a chair.
