Despite Meghan Markle's successful acting career before she married into the royal family, the Sussexes are struggling to find their feet in the showbiz industry.

After losing out on an Emmy nomination and having their Spotify deal axed, the pair are reportedly watching their media empire crumble around them and it's believed that it might all be down to Prince William and Kate Middleton.

A source told Heat Magazine that the Duchess is getting "sick and tired of this 'Saint Kate' act" as Hollywood A-listers and key industry players reportedly don't want to associate with Harry and Meghan in fear they may "risk their standing in the UK by not being seen as team William and Kate".

According to the insider, celebrities are distancing themselves from the royal couple as they have picked up on their plummeting popularity and are instead actively pitching the Prince and Princess of Wales for new projects.

Their efforts are reportedly being backed by none other than King Charles himself, the Mirror reports.

It is only part of the strategy of maintaining American ties and influence with William and Kate due to appear in New York in September at the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, further solidifying their influence.

The former Suits actress is reportedly unhappy about this according to the source who said: "Meghan is sick and tired of this 'Saint Kate' act.

"She and Harry are aware the Waleses are planning more trips to the States — including Hollywood — and the red carpet will well and truly be rolled out for their arrival."

However, it's not just in tinsel town that the divide between the royal couples is becoming even more clear.

Even in the political world, Prince William and Kate Middleton seem to be winning the rice as First Lady Jill Biden was recently photographed meeting with Kate when she visited the UK.

In comparison, Harry and Meghan reportedly received a firm "no" when their teams asked to use Air Force One on their trip back home for the Queen's funeral.

A source told the MailOnline that the White House had turned down their request in case it caused a "commotion" and damaged the President's relationship with the royal family.
