Meghan Markle 'plotting' career move that could see her in the White House

Meghan Markle made her activism debut when she was only 11 years old after going up against Procter & Gamble when she didn't agree with the messages in their washing up liquid advert.

And now the actress-turned-Duchess could be going back to her roots with her said to be "plotting a move into politics", which comes after she and Prince Harry broke cover and appeared in a new video

The Duchess of Sussex, who turned 42 yesterday, is said to be eyeing up taking on the world of politics. She's even trying to reach out to various people in the industry and trying to "secure political positions", according to reports.

An expert on the Royal Family has claimed that Meghan is keeping her options open because her work with her husband Prince Harry is "definitely on the wane", which comes after the couple faced several blows to their brand in recent weeks. The couple had their Spotify deal ended, with their Netflix docuseries then snubbed at the Emmy Awards.

Currently, Prince Harry is working on his Netflix documentary about the Invictus Games, while he plans on another that will entail a solo trip to Africa. Meanwhile, Meghan is focusing on becoming a "Hollywood power player" while she's said to be plotting a move into politics.

True Royalty TV co-founder Nick Bullen told Fox News Digital that he has heard from some very reliable sources that Meghan "is writing to people to try and secure political positions", he added that he believes this is currently "an ambition for her".

Touching on the reports that Harry and Meghan could be separating when it comes to business deals and their own individual career paths, he added: "I think you’ll see [the Duke and Duchess of Sussex] working much more separately because brand Sussex is definitely on the wane. Now, I think you’ll see them concentrating on their individual brands to try and reclaim some of the ground."

Speaking about the possibility of Meghan stepping into the White House, Nick spoke of how he thinks it would be "plausible" and "fascinating" to see. He added: "Imagine a world in which she does make it to the White House, Prince Harry is the first husband. There’s a state visit, and what happens then if Meghan is hosting the British Royal Family at the White House? You’re going to want a front-row seat for that, aren’t you?"

This comes after Joe Biden's sister and political strategist, Valerie Biden Owens, endorsed Meghan as a potential candidate for the White House hot seat, following on from a string of political moves since stepping down as a working Royal in 2020 and moving to California. These moves have seen Meghan lobby politicians in the US for parental leave changes and the climate policy, among others.

Meghan turned 42 yesterday, just mere days after she and Harry put on a united front when they beamed in a video. The clip saw them call winners of the Responsible Tech Youth Power Fund, of which their Archewell Foundation was a founding member. Sitting beside each other and looking happier than ever, the couple were at the centre of the almost three-minute video as they congratulated those awarded.
