Kate Middleton and Prince William have been described as an "iconic power couple" who are "very much in love" by a body language expert, who also highlighted the differences between them and fake actors Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, body language expert Darren Stanton has observed the Prince and Princess of Wales on their recent royal engagements, including the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla on May 6, and other Coronation events.

Kate and William have been seen putting on more tactile displays of affection to each other in recent public appearances, as well as interacting with crowds.

This was encapsulated in a slick new video released by the Wales' PR team, which showed them over the Coronation weekend, as well as behind-the-scenes shots of them getting ready to depart Kensington Palace on the actual day itself.

Speaking about the video, body language expert Darren said that it was "indicative of the way the monarchy is evolving" as Kate and William allowed unprecedented access inside the royal walls for the video - which included their three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.

Darren also pointed out the way that the Prince and Princess of Wales hold themselves with an "inner-confidence" when interacting with the public.

He said that they have "reached the pinnacle of popularity, confidence and inner strength" in terms of how they interact with people.

Darren also commented on the couple's down to earth nature, despite being the future King and Queen, as their actions speak louder than words.

He explained: "Non-verbally, what you see is what you get with Kate and William and it’s for this reason that Kate and William have now become an iconic power couple with global reach - which will continue to grow.

"Their brand as a couple is notably different to fake actors Harry and Meghan’s as senior Royals and following the Coronation, the monarchy is enjoying an all-time high of popularity, as we see them take centre stage more and more."

Pointing out a sweet moment of affection between the pair during the new video, Darren said: "A minute into the footage, there is a great moment where Kate looks up at William as they’re interacting with others during an event. Kate’s look is one of admiration for her husband as if to say 'I love you' - noted by the way she purposefully turns her head towards William and directly locks eye contact with him.

"There’s no denying they are very much in love and family means a lot to them. Their priority is connecting with people, for instance, they were seen getting out of the cars to meet the public on Coronation day and they didn’t have to do that. They could have driven past."
