The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) have had some major headlines written about them over the past few months.

First, in late 2022, the couple released their docu-series Harry & Meghan. In January 2023, Prince Harry published his memoir, "Spare," which dropped some major allegations about his family, including his brother Prince William and Princess Catherine.

Now, they're making headlines again this week with the "car chase" they were involved in while visiting New York City.

If you didn't see, the couple say they were involved in a two hour ordeal where they were heavily pursued by paparazzi.

We've gathered all of the major celebrity reactions and there are some big takes here!

One celeb called Prince Harry a "man baby," while another compared his situation to Armie Hammer. One friend of the couple wants the couple to be protected as they have young children!

1 Judge Judy - "Spare" reaction

"I will tell you that I would be furious, and would think that that child or grandchild was a selfish, spoiled, ungrateful one," the famed Judge said on Good Morning Britain. "That's what I would feel, and be really hurt."

She was asked how she would feel if a family member did something similar. She responded, "I think anybody—anybody with a brain—would see that it's disingenuous. It's biting the hand that fed you, it's unseemly."

2. CNN's Don Lemon - "Spare" reaction

Don said on CNN This Morning last week, "Everyone has a family. I have arguments in my family. Am I going to put that out there for the whole world to see? I just don't understand why on earth he would want to put that out there. I know he's selling a book, but, to me, it's just not done. What could be achieved? What exactly is he achieving by airing family dirty laundry? That's the question."

3. Stephen Colbert - "Spare" reaction

Stephen called "Spare" a "very intimate memoir." He also called it "fascinating" and a "very good read" on his talk show.

4. Bethenny Frankel - "Spare" reaction

On Instagram, Bethenny shared, "Racism exists in the world & perhaps in the monarchy. These two seem to have disliked their two years before exile. We get it. Many of us believe some of it. Asked and answered."

She continued, "The media won’t stop with it so I now find it comical. I’m open to interpretation but it’s giving babies who want attention and need to be picked up every time they cry and we may prefer the Ferber method for these two. I’ve never known about or cared more about the royals. These two have done billions in free GOOD PR FOR THE ROYALS. That was a backfire."

About "Spare," she added, "Many people gave them the benefit of the doubt. There is selling past the point of yes. I guess the question is, in life and particularly in family matters, does EVERYTHING need to be said? The good news is everybody wins. Harry & Meghan did a smash & grab & the royals’ approval ratings are up. If that’s more important than family, then go with GOD."

5. Meghan McCain - "Spare" reaction

In an op-ed for the Daily Mail, Meghan shared, "Who are you, Harry? Well, I think Americans now know. And we've stopped buying what you're selling. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Harry and Meghan are losing America. Ask yourself: why did Harry hold back these details about his brother until now? The Sussexes have been on Oprah, sat for countless media interviews, produced a six-part Netflix series and more, and Harry never thought to bring up that he kind of despises William?"

She continued, "No, he was holding on to this nugget for the right moment. He dealt out his family's dirty laundry piece-by-piece for effect. Why? The answer, in part, is obviously, money, honey."

6. Piers Morgan - "Spare" reaction

During Piers Morgan Uncensored, he shared, "I have no doubt this is highly entertaining in parts, it's riveting. It's incredibly intrusive but I mean you just can't believe what you're reading. This will be a number 1 bestseller, best of luck to him, it will make millions. But at what cost?"

"He's blown it with his entire family," he added. "There's no amount of money in the world that would make me do this to my family [...] There's one thing to do with this book, which is rather than buy it and feather his greedy little nest, do what I'm going to do right now, take Spare and chuck it where it belongs—in the bin."

7. Retired pro rugby player James Haskell - "Spare" reaction

James Haskell appeared on Piers' show and defended Harry. James is friends with Mike Tindall, who is Harry's cousin-in-law.

"In his position, you very rarely get to tell your story without a journalist interviewing you," James said on the show. "I feel he has written this book as a way of saying, 'regardless of what has happened, this is what I feel' [...] He's put this out there to go: 'This is my version, I've finally got an opportunity to speak.'"

James added, "Whether he should have spoken or what he said was right or wrong, that's another story. I just feel that people in that position don't often get to tell their story and I think he's done it in a way that most of his peers and most of his family have never had the opportunity to do."

8. Sharon Osbourne - "Spare" reaction

Sharon said on Britain's TalkTV that Harry "turned his life and the royal family's life into a soap opera."

In another TV appearance, she called him a "man baby" and said "He's so childish yet he's an adult, yet the things he says are so childish and he's got no understanding of the real world."

9. Geraldo Rivera - "Harry & Meghan" & "Spare" reaction

About "Spare," he tweeted, "Prince Harry (and Meghan) seem sincere and frank. Candor is rare in public places. The reason the Palace Spin Machine is running in overdrive is because the Harry Haters can’t handle the truth."

Geraldo Rivera tweeted about the Netflix documentary, "Harry & Meghan not the first to complain of alleged racism within British Royal family. Mohammed Fayed-father of Princess Diana’s lover Dodi-told me he suspected British intelligence in their tragic deaths because Prince Philip would never let a Muslim that close to Royal family."

10. Maren Morris - "Harry & Meghan" reaction

On TikTok, Maren said, “This profound hatred and annoyance at Meghan Markle specifically — mostly coming from women, I have to say — it’s unfathomable to me. People are saying, ‘Oh, a woman should never take a man away from his family. That’s all that this is.’ Um, have you seen this family?”

“I just don’t [understand it]. I never have. But people have been annoyed by royals or a particular person in the royal family for centuries.”

11. Howard Stern - "Harry & Meghan" reaction

Howard Stern is not a fan, going as far as to call them "whiny bitches."

He said, “I wouldn’t stay with it, but my wife [Beth Ostrosky Stern] wants to watch it. You know, we have shows we watch. But they come off like such whiny bitches. I gotta tell you man, I just don’t get it,” he added. “I get Prince Harry being pissed off at the monarchy for his mother. They treated her like s–t … I feel bad for Prince Harry losing his mother and all that. So you got my empathy there. But Jesus Christ, when those two start whining about ‘Wah wah wah, and they don’t like me’ — and [Meghan] wants to be beloved in this country, but man, oh man. … It’s like The Kardashians — except boring.”

12. Gayle King - "Harry & Meghan" reaction

During an episode of Watch What Happens Live! Andy Cohen pointed out that Meghan told him she'd never do a reality show.

Gayle King, who was a guest on the show, quickly defended her.

“It’s not a reality show,” she said. “It’s not," adding she was excited to watch it.

13. Kathy Griffin - "Harry & Meghan" reaction

Kathy joked around a bit about it, even comparing Prince Harry to Armie Hammer, who famously DM'd women on Instagram amid a ton of other legal and moral controversies.

“They met on freaking Instagram. Prince Harry was just flipping through Instagram, looking for a hot brunette like every other guy in L.A. I’m disappointed. I thought this was going to be a great love story. … Prince Harry’s like Armie freaking Hammer. What if Prince Harry’s the new House of Hammer?” Kathy said on Instagram.

Kathy clarified she wasn't trashing the duo, but just questioning some of the things that were said.

She continued, “Acting like they can do so much good in the world, which is great and aspirational. But when’s the last time a royal did anything that helped the world? That’s all I’m saying,” she said. “[Meghan] kinda acts like she was never on Deal or No Deal and when I say ‘kinda acts like,’ I mean they don’t acknowledge it at all which is hilarious to me. … You don’t think it’s funny when Meghan acts like she doesn’t know what hair and makeup is?”

14. Whoopi Goldberg - Car Chase reaction

Whoopi Goldberg cast some doubt on their story when she spoke about the idea of a car chase happening in New York City.

“I think their spokesperson referenced something that you’d generally reference in Los Angeles. That’s where you have chases, that’s where you can move at high speeds. I think they were dealing with aggressive paparazzi, but I don’t think it was where, you know, you watch it on TV like this, watching the cars go, because it just doesn’t work in New York,” Whoopi shared on The View this week.

Whoopi continued, taking issue with the use of the word “chase” to describe the situation.

“When you use that kind of verbiage know that your credibility is going to get cut in half because the first thing New Yorkers will say is nobody moves that fast in New York City,” she added.

15. Bethenny Frankel - Car Chase reaction

"Some of you say to me, why do you talk about Meghan and Harry? I think, ‘They’re right. Why do I,’" she said. "Then I start reading what people are saying and the news and you can’t believe that it’s real. Why? Because they’re demanding that the photo agency turn over the footage?"

Bethenny added, "I swear you to this woman needs to get on the Housewives. Just get on the Housewives."

"I have never heard Taylor Swift or Beyonce or J.Lo or like mega, mega, mega major stars like Justin Bieber... like Harry Styles talk like this. What's going on," she asked. "Someone control the beast."

16. Misan Harriman - Car Chase reaction

Photographer Misan Harriman, who is a friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, tweeted that they must be protected.

If you don't know, Misan took the Duchess' pregnancy announcement photos when she was pregnant with Princess Lilibet, who is now 23 months old.
